OK, our site has been down or messed up for over a month now. It’s not exactly all my fault although I could have probably done a little more to get it back up sooner. We had a list of issues but most of them were from spammers and scammers trying to hack our Zune site. The hackers installed an IRC bouncer and were using it to ping our topsite script and replay spam to all the wonderful folks online.

Our web host took a dump on me at the same time. I have been with the same dedicated hosting plan for over 4 years before all these troubles came up. It was the last straw as far as I was concerned and I had to find anew hosting company for this sie and all of my other sites also. It was a real hassle but with some help from a good web hosting comparison site at Web Hosting Choice and their handy newsletter I was able to find a new host and move on rather quickly.

We’re back up and running and our new hosting company has some cool new tools I can play with to add things to the site.
